The project of a new public space MEGA-park in Nizhny Novgorod was developed for the largest developer of commercial real estate in Russia – INGKA Centers.
The new public space on the territory of the former parking sets alternative options for the pastime of the visitors of the shopping center. Thus, the priority task was to create new points of interest and change the environment around shopping centers. The project was highly appreciated by the professional community of architects and urbanists, and its implementation became an excellent example of the social responsibility of business.
The pump track is equipped with a drainage system, and the working surface is made of fine-grained asphalt in two layers. You don’t need to be extreme for riding a pump track – basic track configurations are available for riders from 2 to 70 years old, and for riding, basic skills having control over the bike/skateboard/scooter… are enough. Pump tracks are suitable for skateboarders, cyclists, scooters, and roller skaters.
