The pump track in Braslovče covers more than 400 m2 of the asphalt surface and was the first such facility in the Lower Savinja Valley. At the time of the construction, it was one of the largest facilities of its kind in Slovenia intended for the widest range of users. It is placed on the green area in the immediate vicinity of the primary school and thus transforms the unused space into an attractive intergenerational contact point.
Choosing the right location is one of the fundamental factors for a successful pump track placement. In addition to a well-designed and executed pump track, a suitable location will encourage more visits and use.
Asphalt pump tracks, a global trend among the sports infrastructure, can satisfy these criteria plus several others. Addressing more than 15 sports and 3 Olympic disciplines, the pump track as a single object represents a multi-purpose sports facility. It can be used by almost any bike, striders, rollerblades, scooters, skateboards, and other sports equipment on wheels, including wheelchairs.
