Building Action Sports Spots Across Europe and Beyond
The Alliance Planning & Construction teams have had a busy few months, working on pump tracks, trails, and skateparks in different parts of the world. Here’s a quick round-up of what’s been happening as of May.
USA: First Track, First Steps
In March, we kicked off our first-ever pump track project in the United States — in Brownsville, Texas. The site has been completely transformed and is now ready for riders. While we were there, we also joined the International Trail Summit in Madison, Wisconsin, to take part in discussions about the future of pump tracks. Several planning projects are now underway in the US, and we hope to start building more tracks soon.
Austria: Riding Into a New Season
The season in Austria started in Prinzersdorf, where we built two tracks — a full-sized Allrounder and a kids’ track. In Westendorf, work resumed on the pump track we started last year but had to pause due to snow. Only the concrete miniramp remains. Meanwhile, in Roadlberg, we’ve teamed up with the local bike club to build an uphill trail and a flow line. We’ve also begun work on a new flow trail in the emerging bike park on Schneeberg, close to Vienna. Currently, a new pump track is also being built at the well-known Silvereta Montafon ski resort, a popular summer destination for mountain bikers.

Italy: Wrapping Up One, Getting Ready for the Next
March saw the start of our third pump track in Italy, this time in Remanzacco. Bad weather caused some delays, but we wrapped it up by the end of April. Now we’re preparing for the next project — a new track in Tuscany that should start soon.
Croatia: Beyond the Beach
In January, we finished the pump track in Split. Work also picked up on the Bregdown Trails in Sveti Ivan Zelina, where a new downhill and jump line are taking shape. We’ve recently completed a pump track in Daruvar and built another one on the island of Rab in cooperation with Valamar. Furthermore, this week, we are concluding work on a pump track on the island of Rab, a collaborative effort with the Valamar hotel chain. This initiative underscores Valamar’s effective strategy of leveraging cycling infrastructure to extend the tourist season beyond peak periods.
Slovenia: Lots of Progress and Some Grand Openings
Koper and Žiri pump tracks were completed in March, followed by opening events in Koper and Kamnik in April. We also finished a kids’ track in Rogaška Slatina, and in May we broke ground on a new track in Mislinja. Domžale’s skatepark has been moving along steadily since February, and we’ve also done reshaping work at Kočevje’s trail centre, Divjina dirt park, and Cilenca trails.

Hungary: New Track in Mór
A brand-new pump track in Mór was completed in March and is already ready for action. More projects are being planned for the coming months.
France: Concrete Work Meets Karting
In March, we joined forces with Karting 360 near Strasbourg to work on a unique multi-level karting track. Our experience with concrete and asphalt was put to use in shaping bridges and elevated sections to ensure a smooth, high-quality riding experience throughout the course.
From pump tracks to trails, we’re continuing to work with local communities and partners to create well-built, accessible spaces for riders of all levels. More updates coming soon — stay tuned!
